“Have you ever thought about a career in stand-up comedy?”

That was a genuine comment from an RBS employee after I had talked to them about Turning Workplaces into Fanbases. Humour helps land difficult messages when you are making the employees of a bank face the worst headlines the press could throw at them. Making them laugh definitely helps them to be in the right frame of mind to talk about the future.

I am a passionate and light-hearted speaker regularly talking about Leadership, PLM, Turning Workplaces into Fan-bases and The Industrial V The Networked Age. I hope to be speaking about my latest passion; The Human Approach to Innovation & Change, soon – could that be for you?

Stories I’ve been telling

Leadership Talk for Gen Z and Millenials

I'm a regular contributor to the Uprising Leadership Programme in Manchester. This workshop was to encourage some divergent thinking about what it is to be a good leader today. The session was very interactive which may not come across that well on the slides.

Victoria Turnbull, UpRising

For the last few years I have volunteered my time to help UpRising, (an organisation that gives young people free access to leadership courses), lending my expertise to inspire the next generation of leaders. Victoria Turnbull is UpRising's North Regional Programme Manager.

RBS Turning Workplaces into Fanbases

I was invited to talk at two RBS regional conferences about turning workplaces into fanbases. RBS were preparing for their re-brand to Williams & Glynn amidst constant negativity in the press and a high level of uncertainty. This was a light-hearted look at how being a fan can make a big difference.

Think Big – Growth Through Marketing

Think big was created to give business owners in the North West insight and practical advice on how to grow their companies. Nina joined the team to talk about "Turning Workplaces into Fanbases"
